WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Minute Rice® instant white rice, uncooked | ||
2 cups (500 mL) | ||
½ lb each (250 g each) | boneless skinless chicken breasts and spicy sausage, cut into bite-sized pieces | |
1 | medium onion, chopped | |
1 | small red or green pepper, chopped | |
1 can (19 fl oz/540 mL) | diced tomatoes, undrained | |
1 can (10 fl oz/284 mL) | chicken broth | |
1 cup (250 mL) | frozen peas | |
¼ tsp (1 mL) | turmeric |
INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1: Cook chicken and sausage in a large frying pan on medium heat for 5 minutes or until cooked through, stirring frequently. Remove from pan; set aside
Step 2: Add onion and peppers to frying pan; cook for 5 minutes or until crisp-tender, stirring frequently. Return chicken and sausage to pan along with the remaining ingredients; mix well. Bring to boil
Step 3: Remove from heat. Cover and let stand for 5 minutes
