This Easy Beef Stew With Rice made with Minute Rice® is a sure-fire way to warm you up when temperatures start to drop.
Step 1
Combine beef, flour, garlic powder, salt and pepper in a large bowl. Toss together until beef is evenly coated.
Step 2
Heat oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add beef and sauté for 3 to 5 minutes, or until browned and cooked through. Using slotted spoon, transfer beef to a bowl and set aside.
Step 3
Add onion and mushrooms to pan. Cook for 3 to 5 minutes, or until onion is translucent. Stir in stewed tomatoes, broth and carrots and bring to a boil.
Step 4
Reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer, stirring frequently, for 10 to 15 minutes, or until stew is thickened.
Step 5
While stew is simmering, prepare rice according to package directions. To serve, spoon stew over rice.
