WHAT YOU'LL NEED

cooked Minute Rice® Premium Long Grain White Rice | ||
2 cups (500 mL) | ||
1/2 cup (125 mL) | French’s® Honey Mustard | |
1/4 cup (60 mL) | finely chopped green onions | |
2 tbsp (30 mL) | each barbecue sauce and sodium-reduced soy sauce | |
1 lb (500 g) | lean ground beef | |
1 | egg, beaten | |
1/3 cup (75 mL) | finely chopped Vlasic® Bread & Butter Pickles | |
1 | clove garlic, minced | |
1/2 tsp (2 mL) | each salt and pepper | |
6 | pineapple rings | |
6 | toasted hamburger buns | |
3 | roasted sweet red peppers, halved | |

INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1: In large bowl, stir the mustard with the green onions, barbecue sauce and soy sauce. Remove half of the mixture and reserve. Stir the beef, rice, egg, pickles, garlic, salt and pepper into the remaining mixture. Mix gently, using hands; form into six ¾ -inch (2 cm) thick patties. Set aside
Step 2: Grease grill; preheat to medium. Grill the burgers, turning once, for 12 to 14 minutes or until an instantread thermometer inserted sideways into the centre of the burger registers 160°F (71°C). Brush the burger with some of the reserved mustard mixture before removing from the grill
Step 3: Brush the pineapple with the remaining mustard mixture; grill until marked and tender. Stack the pineapple and lettuce on bottom buns; top with the burgers, roasted red peppers and remaining buns
