WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Minute Rice® Instant White Rice, uncooked | ||
1 cup | ||
2 cups |
chopped, cooked ham |
|
1 cup |
canned pineapple tidbits, drained, juice reserved |
|
1 cup |
pizza sauce |
|
1/2 cup |
reserved pineapple juice |
|
½ cup |
low sodium chicken broth |
|
½ teaspoon |
dried oregano |
|
½ teaspoon |
salt |
|
1 cup |
shredded mozzarella cheese |
INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1: In a large skillet, combine ham, pineapple, pizza sauce, pineapple juice, broth, oregano and salt and bring to a simmer over medium-high heat. Simmer for 3-4 minutes, until ham and pineapple are warmed through. |
Step 2: Add rice, return to a simmer, cover, and remove from heat. Let sit for 5 minutes until rice is fully cooked and liquid is absorbed. |
Step 4: Sprinkle with cheese, cover and let sit until cheese is melted, about 2-3 minutes. Serve. |
