WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Minute Rice® Instant Whole Grain Brown Rice | ||
2 cups (500 ml) | ||
1 tbsp (15 ml) | vegetable oil | |
1 lb (500 g) | boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into strips | |
3 cups (750 ml) | frozen broccoli florets | |
1 ½ cups (375 ml) | water | |
½ cup (125 ml) | teriyaki sauce | |
½ tsp (2 ml) | garlic powder | |
Toasted chopped peanuts (optional) |
INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1: Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet set over medium-high heat. Add chicken. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes or until evenly browned
Step 2: Add broccoli, water, teriyaki sauce and garlic powder; bring to a boil. Stir in rice. Cover and reduce heat to low; simmer for 10 minutes
Step 3: Remove from heat. Let stand, covered, for 5 minutes. Sprinkle with peanuts (if using)
Sweet teriyaki flavour infuses the rice in this nutritious one-pot supper.
