INSTRUCTIONS

Kimchi Fried Rice
Step 1: First squeeze out the juices from the cup of kimchi using paper towels and once drier, cut up into small chunks. |
Step 2: Heat up a wok with 1/4 tablespoon oil and cook the eggs sunny side up (or just fry if you don't like the yoke). Dish out and set aside. |
Step 3: Add the remaining oil into the wok. Sauté the garlic and onion until aromatic. Add the kimchi and do a few quick stirs before adding the rice. Stir to combine well. Add the soy sauce, sesame oil, black pepper, and scallion. Stir a few times to blend with the rice. |
Step 4: Dish out and serve with egg on top of the rice. |
Korean Beef
Step 1: In a small bowl, whisk together brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, red pepper flakes and ginger. |
Step 2: Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add garlic and cook, stirring constantly, until fragrant, about 1 minute. |
Step 3: Add ground beef and cook until browned, about 3-5 minutes, making sure to crumble the beef as it cooks; drain excess fat. Stir in soy sauce mixture and green onions until well combined, allowing to simmer until heated through, about 2 minutes. |
Step 4: Serve immediately with rice. |
